The India Coffee Trust is the result of a general consensus among the stakeholders of the Coffee Industry to create a non profit organisation whose primary mandate is to promote coffee consumption in India and to generally promote the Indian coffee industry . The idea of the Trust originated in the year 2008 and formally commenced its operations in the year 2011. The major activities of the Trust at present is the conducting of the India International Coffee Festivals.
Since 2002 the individuals and corporations who now comprise the India Coffee Trust have conducted three International Coffee Festivals in collaboration with the Coffee Board of India.
In the years to come the Trust in addition to conducting conferences and exhibitions both national and international will undertake a variety of programmes and projects aimed at making coffee the preeminent beverage of choice in India.
